From an early age, it was clear that Scott had a natural talent for sales, negotiation, and education. These qualities made his transition into real estate a natural progression. His interest in human psychology, developed during his college years, combined with traditional negotiation techniques, formed a strong foundation for long-term success in the industry. Now, with over three decades of experience, Scott continues to find real estate engaging, rewarding, and ever-evolving.
Real estate became such a significant part of his life that his son, Kevin, chose to follow in his footsteps. Kevin earned his license while still in college, was named Rookie of the Year in his first year, and remains a full-time agent today.
Balancing a demanding real estate career with a busy family life, including a wife, two children, several dogs, and a tortoise, required Scott to develop strong time management, focus, and decision-making skills. He found success in merging his personal and professional worlds, involving his family in the business in a way that clients warmly embraced. Many of those clients have since become lifelong friends of the Carmody family.
After a highly successful career as a top-producing agent, ranking in the top one percent nationwide at a leading international brokerage, Scott began mentoring new agents. His passion for training and leadership naturally led to a full-time role in management, where he focused on developing talent and guiding agents to success.
With a consistent focus on putting clients first and a deep understanding of real estate contracts and strategy, Scott thrived in leadership. That success led to the founding of Carmody Real Estate, alongside two longtime friends and trusted colleagues, Robert Welper and Anthony Aguilera.
